P333: Fine antique Italian fruitwood chess set.
One side in light wood and the other side in dark wood, late 18th century. Great patina on the dark side. Kings 7.3cms tall
A very elegant rare form with well carved turned over knights heads. Comes with its original turned cylinder casket.
Casket's finial matches the finials of the pawns on the set.
